January 14, 2019  marks the 50th anniversary of Red Skelton’s iconic version of the Pledge of Allegiance.  The Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy will celebrate this anniversary throughout 2019 with a special exhibit dedicated to the Pledge and a series of events celebrating it.

January 14, 2019– Celebration in the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center featuring Vincennes Mayor, Joe Yochum, VU President, Chuck Johnson, the Lincoln High School band playing Red’s White and Blue march and a video montage of celebrities reciting Red’s Pledge plus a few surprise visitors!

January 15, 2019-Pledge exhibit opens to the public (free with regular museum admission)

May 26, 2019-Showing of Red’s sketch “Christmas 1777” in the dining tent at the Vincennes Rendezvous on the ground of George Rogers Clark National Historical Park

June 14, 2019- Special performance and exhibitions at The Skelton Center
